Awarded with the sustainability label South Tyrol

South Tyrol's tourism: certified sustainable.

Vitalhotel Erica in Val d'Ega has recently been awarded the Sustainability Label South Tyrol - Level 1! We are incredibly proud of this certification and see it as recognition for our continuous efforts to work more environmentally friendly and sustainable.

The Sustainability Label South Tyrol is based on the criteria of the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC), which were developed to provide a uniform understanding of sustainable tourism. These criteria can be divided into four different areas:

  • Management
  • Socio-economy
  • Culture
  • Ecology

The sustainability label allows destinations and accommodation/gastronomy businesses to make their commitment to sustainable development visible to all. Because sustainability is a long-term path, there are the three levels of the label, which are verified by an audit. For each level, different criteria have to be fulfilled, whereby the third and highest level corresponds to the GSTC certification and is thus internationally recognized.

As a hotel, we have always focused on minimizing our impact on the environment and providing a sustainable vacation experience for our guests. By implementing various environmentally friendly practices, such as the use of renewable energy and the reduction of plastic waste, we have been able to reduce our ecological footprint.

The award of the Sustainability Label South Tyrol - Level 1 now confirms that our efforts have been officially recognized and motivates us to continue our efforts in the field of sustainability in the future.

We look forward to continuing to offer our guests an environmentally friendly and sustainable vacation at Vitalhotel Erica and are proud to be part of a sustainable tourism movement
