Rotenstein, Rotwand and Klausalm
Three tour gems at a single stroke!
Deutschnofen - Wölflhof - Totes Moos - Rotenstein - Rotwand - Klausalm
With the artistic jewel of St Helena, the Klausalm is one of the most popular excursion destinations around Deutschnofen. And not without reason, because you set off from the village itself and walk for long distances, but without any height differences worth mentioning, through heavenly scenery. Of course on the way there, we also visit the Rotenstein and the Rotwand on the northwest edge of the Reggelberg porphyry plate, because from its edges you can enjoy dizzy views down into the Etschtal valley.
Walking times: Total walking time 4 - 1/2 hours
Requirements: A long, yet easy, walk on marked paths and forest roads.
Height differences: 450 m up and down
Highest point: Rotwand 1,534 m
Possible refreshment stops: Klausalm, Bauer im Walde, Wölflhof
Sights: The views down from the Rotenstein and Rotwand into the Etschtal valley, the incredibly beautiful Klausalm with wonderful views of Schlern and Rosengarten.
