Sunset to the Whitehorn
Legendary alpine glow
The absolute highlight of the mountain week is the guided sunset walk to the Whitehorn.
From the parking lot at Jochgrimm (individual route), guide Erich Obkricher walks through the flowering alpine pastures and the fragrant mountain pine forest up to the rocky, white summit of the Whitehorn (2313 m). At the top there is a hearty South Tyrolean snack with freshly sliced bacon and cheese as well as sparkling wine and wine - and a place for the legendary alpine glow. From here you have a great panorama of the surrounding mountains and valleys - the mighty cliffs of Schlern, Rosengarten and Latemar are famous for their colors at sunset. For the 30 minute descent, forehead lamps are provided. If you want to experience this special tour, you need good shoes and should be confident.
