E-Bike Tour to Lake Carezza

There are places you know – and places you must feel. Lake Carezza is undeniably one of the latter. This generous E-bike tour begins in Nova Ponente, leading you across the open landscapes of Bühl and Rauth, past old farmhouses and sunlit meadows, until the trail towards Bewaller Hof takes you deep into the forests of the Val d’Ega.

And then it happens: the trees open up – and suddenly there it is, the legendary Lake Carezza. Emerald green, perfectly still, a mirror of the mountains. Every E-biker instinctively pauses here, because this place has a magic of its own. The Latemar massif seems to rise straight out of the water – a sight that touches you deeply and lingers long after.

From this dreamlike spot, the tour continues to Moser Alm and eventually up to the Ochsenhütte – a place where you simply have to stop, look … and let the beauty silence you.

The panorama here is almost too beautiful to be true – wonderfully picturesque in the very best way.

And this is exactly where you should treat yourself: an aperitivo with a dream view or a delicious lunch that tastes twice as good on a terrace with a Dolomite panorama. A place to enjoy, to breathe, to simply be – South Tyrolean mountain bliss in its purest form.

Afterwards, the route leads back toward Lake Carezza, onward to Obereggen and the Lahner Alm, where the view opens up once again and landscape and sky seem to melt into one. Your legs work, the motor supports – and together they create that flowing feeling only a perfect E-bike day can give.

You then reach the Lavazè Pass once more. Here too, a break is a must: a cool drink, a moment to gaze at the endless horizon, a breath of quiet.

The return via the Auerleger finally brings you to the Laab Alm, where South Tyrolean hospitality unfolds in all its warmth: strudel, cakes, or the traditional Strauben, which taste especially good here – everything fresh, heartfelt, pure indulgence.

For one thing is always true: E-biking is freedom – but in South Tyrol, it is joy of life.

From here, the tour gently returns to Nova Ponente  – filled with images, impressions, and that mountain-light happiness that only a day around Lake Carezza can give.
