The Latemar Loop is one of the absolute highlight tours around Obereggen – a perfect combination of breathtaking nature, flowing descents and enjoyable stops at charming mountain huts.

The tour starts in Obereggen, where we set off at an easy pace and soon dive into the beautiful Carezza Forest. Dense woods, fresh mountain air and peaceful trails accompany us until we reach one of the most impressive natural gems of the Dolomites: Lake Carezza. Its emerald-green waters and the reflection of the Latemar mountains create a true goosebump moment – don’t forget your camera!

Via the famous suspension swing, the route continues towards Carezza Pass, passing the Moser Alm and climbing up to the Iolander Alm. The higher we ride, the more the panorama opens up, revealing the Dolomites at their most spectacular.

Cappuccino break at Carezza Pass:
Right at the pass, we take a well-deserved break – cappuccino, sunshine and a 360° view that quite literally leaves you speechless.

Afterwards, a true highlight awaits all bike lovers: a long and varied downhill section, partly on beautiful trails, leading down to Moena. Flow, riding fun and an alpine backdrop – this is what Dolomites biking feels like.

From Moena, the tour continues towards Predazzo, before tackling the climb up to Baita Gardonè (optionally, the ascent can be shortened by taking the gondola up to Gardonè). At the top, we are rewarded with a cosy mountain hut, a warm atmosphere and a delicious lunch break with excellent food – regional, authentic and simply outstanding.

Chairlift to Feudo Pass – a special experience: Another highlight awaits us: we gently glide up to Feudo Pass by chairlift, enjoying the views along the way and saving our energy for the final part of the tour. From the pass, we roll back down into the valley towards Obereggen – surrounded by wide-open vistas, unspoilt nature and that deeply satisfying feeling of having experienced a truly special day in the saddle.

Sweet finale at Lahner Alm: Those who wish can treat themselves to one last stop at the cosy Lahner Alm: homemade apple strudel or a fluffy Kaiserschmarrn provide the perfect sweet ending to this panoramic tour.
